What is life? Can you say?
-Small role every soul should play.
What is success? Do you know?
-Something to cherish but never to show!
What is heart? I tried to find...
Beating machine or reflection of mind!
What is death? I know it not.
-State of rest, when dreams are lost!
What is love? I wonder at times
-It can't be expressed in just a few lines.

Contradictory expressions of our emotions!

Wish I could turn back time, be a child once more

Could laugh and cry as I wish, free to smile, adore

Express myself as I feel deep inside my heart

Sans caring what others find me- stupid,funny or smart

 

As I grew I learnt to suppress what i feel inside

That is what society taught me –emotions one must hide

Even when I feel angry, jealous , lonely or sad

I must sport a happy face without turning mad

 

Fake smile, fake tears, fake is everything now

People still act like this….i don’t understand how!

Strangled by the rules of the clever makes me run for help

It’s better to be a stupid and a fool but remain me- myself!

 

Wish I could be a child and play as I want

Laugh my heart out, cry a pool or snarl at my aunt

None to judge me, none to stop me, free as a bird-

If only I could turn back time, life would not be hard!
